The Sea Thieves are a collective that evolves around Adelaide native Zac Coligan (ex-Bergerac) and began as a duo with wife Naomi Thompson in 2003 under the moniker “Eiderdown”.
The Sea Thieves debut record “Hiding in the Shade” was written, recorded, produced and mixed by Zac and Naomi, and released in 2008 to favourable reviews.
For The Sea Thieves second record, Zac enlisted some old friends to help with the process. “They Will Run” was written, produced, mixed and recorded by Zac Coligan and the amazing Jed Palmer (Alarm Birds, Bergerac).The beautiful Naomi Thompson added vocals, the debonair Steve Griffiths (The Sirens Of Venice, ex - Gersey, Bergerac) played drums and percussion and the suave Zoe Barry (Alarm Birds, Bergerac) added cello and piano.

The Sea Thieves sound is infused with the strains of the musical saw, the pluck of the ukulele and vintage nylon strung guitars. Weaving amongst it all are crackling optigan samples and the dead notes of ruined pianos.
